1.What I do. When I first joined Tact (WinBe) I started as an English teacher at our branch school in Hoshikawa, Yokohama.
I then transferred to our head office in KaihinMakuhari.
Although I no longer teach at a school, I now have responsibilities, which include the general welfare of our native English instructors across Japan.
I write our monthly newsletter, work on our WinBe curriculum and assist in the training of our new instructors. I take care of scheduling and general human resources and also visit schools to see how schools are doing. Of course I wouldn’t be able to do this by myself without the help of my WinBe team.
2.What makes it interesting/makes me happy about my job. Since childhood, I have always enjoyed learning and teaching and have applied this enjoyment throughout my life. The best way I can describe the feeling of my job is the pure satisfaction in seeing improvement and understanding based upon the things I have taught. Knowing that the knowledge I have gained and shared can help others is something that is very special to me. I love helping.
3.The atmosphere of WinBe When I moved to Japan almost three years ago I understood that many things around me would change. My family and friends were farther away, the freedom of independence and the convenience of knowing where, what, when, why, how, and who was.
Working with Tact/Winbe has not only been just a job for me. We all support, help and understand each other very well. We all have our own unique personality traits that seem to mesh well with one another. We are able to laugh aloud in both English and Japanese and exchange our own cultural ideas and thinking.
I think this is what gives Winbe its original “spice”.
